Institution for a Global Society Inc. (IGS) has expanded its international STEM initiative to Uzbekistan, following the successful pilot in Cambodia, in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA).

In February 2025, over 350 students across eight schools in Uzbekistan participated in two assessments developed by IGS: “Ai GROW,” which evaluates 25 types of non-cognitive skills, and the “Mathematical Science Skills Assessment,” which measures scientific and inquiry-based thinking.

Additionally, workshops were conducted for 30 local educators, focusing on integrating inquiry-based learning practices into regular classroom instruction.

These sessions built on the positive feedback from the Cambodia pilot and highlighted scalable techniques for competency development.

This initiative aims to support the broader adoption of STEM and inquiry-based education across the Asia-Pacific region.

By providing data-driven insights and fostering cross-cultural comparability, IGS contributes to improving learning outcomes and educational equity.

Future phases of the project aim to expand further into other countries across Asia.
