ONGAESHI Launches New Training Program to Bridge the Gap in Engineering Management Talent

Release
2025.01.28

Institution for a Global Society Inc. (IGS) has announced the launch of its new “Engineering Manager Development Course” as part of its ONGAESHI career-transition support platform.

The course aims to simultaneously empower engineers seeking management positions and streamline hiring for companies seeking tech leadership talent.

The first session, scheduled from March 18 to April 15, 2025, will be supported by Nyle Inc., which will also host a tailored recruitment track for high-performing participants.

With Japan’s tech talent shortage projected to hit 800,000 by 2030, this initiative addresses structural hiring challenges in the IT sector by providing reskilling opportunities to freelance engineers and opening a pathway to stable employment. The course combines leadership skill-building, personalized soft skill assessments via IGS’s “GROW” platform, and real hiring opportunities.

Nyle’s CTO, Takemi Ohama, emphasized the importance of senior engineers exploring management as the next logical career step.

The course is free and open to engineers aiming for managerial roles. IGS plans to expand the program model in partnership with more companies seeking skilled mid-career talent.
