Human capital disclosure is shifting from a matter of “compliance” to a matter of value communication.

With expanded disclosure requirements expected from the fiscal year ending March 2026, companies will be required to provide more detailed explanations of their human capital strategies, compensation policies, and year-on-year changes in average annual salary—clearly linked to corporate strategy.

However, the core questions are:

• Can human capital initiatives be explained in the context of capital cost and share price?

• Are HR initiatives connected to business strategy and KPIs through a clear causal logic?
